My name is Matthew McKeen, and I am a Computer Science student currently at the University of California Los Angeles. My interests include:
- Free and Open Source Software
- Linux
- KDE
- Programming in languages such as JavaScript, PHP, C++, and too many others to list.
I believe that the open-source development model is the best way to both ensure a user's freedom in using his/her software, and to create truly innovative and exciting pieces of software. In that view, I choose to contribute to FOSS projects in my free time.
I am also an officer and the Systems Administrator of the UCLA LUG where I run our server rack, computer lab, and the other computing resources used by our members. Because of this, I have found a new interest for DevOps and bridging the gap between Software Development and Infrastructure Engineering.
